Kefine brand always delivers good tuning in their product despite its new contender/ brand in IEMs world. I tried and reviewed Kefine delci before, you can read the review on my page, I like that set a lot, now it's time to make an impression on another iem from Kefine it's a 'Klanar' For a name u should know it used a planar driver in it.. So let's take a look at how it sounds from My Perspective.
introduction:
Kefine Klanar. With its 14.5mm driver, this little beast promises to deliver a sound that's as vast as the open road. So, let's see if it lives up to the hype.
Build and Comfort:
First off, the Klanar is a featherweight champion. The build quality is top-notch, with a 'premium finish' that feels more expensive than its price tag, it has a classic look on the shell too.. The braided cable is a nice touch, and the 4.4mm termination is a nod to the audiophile community... Comfort? It's like they disappear into your ears– you could wear these all day and forget they're there, super comfort ..
Sound Signature:
The Klanar's sound signature is a bright V-shape, with a treble that reaches for the stars and a bass that digs deep into the earth. It's a sound that's full of energy and excitement, perfect for those who like their music with a bit of zessttt..
Bass:
The bass is where the Klanar really shines. It's got depth, it's got rumble, and it's got control. Tracks like Massive Attack's "Teardrop" come alive, with a sub-bass that's as palpable as the heartbeat of a whale. It's a bass that doesn't just play, it performs...
Mids:
The mids are a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, male vocals are like a warm blanket on a cold night, comforting and full. On the other hand, female vocals seem to be standing in the shadows, lacking the warmth and presence they deserve... It's a sound that's clear but could use a bit more love in the midrange, for me it's a little too thin and also u could hear some sibalance on the uppermid.
Treble:
The treble is the most controversial aspect of the Klanar. It's bright – maybe too bright for some... The timbre has a metallic sheen that can be both exhilarating and exhausting... It's a treble that demands attention but doesn't always play nice with sensitive ears...
Driveability:
The Klanar is a bit of a diva when it comes to source requirements. Give it a good source, and it'll sing like an angel... But feed it a subpar source, and it'll sulk like a moody teenager... It's a 'Planar' that needs power to show its true colors...
Conclusion:
The Kefine Klanar is a bold entry into the planar IEM market. It's got a sound that's as lively as a live concert, with bass that'll make your heart skip a beat. But it's not without its flaws – the treble can be a bit much, and the mids could use some warmth. At under $100, it's a contender, but it's not quite the champion. It's a sound that'll resonate with some and clash with others. In the end, the Klanar is like a rollercoaster – thrilling, fun, but not for the faint of heart...
